Stockton Bowling Club
Stockton Knows How to Rock
In 2024, Stockton Bowling Club launched the Save Stockton Bowling Club campaign after the local council threatened to end the outdoor live music events that the Club has been offering for the last decade. An unprecedented and expensive DA was slapped on the Club, threatening its viability which relies on its live music events. The 110-year-old beachside venue is committed to continuing to provide entertainment to the hundreds of people who attend the concerts. As such, the Club made the decision to fight for the interest of the community, raising money by selling Save Stockton Bowling Club merchandise at the Rockin the Green concert in March, which saw over 800 attendees. As a result, the much-loved Club raised enough funds for the DA which will hopefully see the live music continue. The Club has also continued its fundraising efforts for the next step – updating infrastructure.
