Empowering Emergency Heroes - The Marine Rescue Project
As an organisation deeply rooted in the community, Ballina RSL recognises the vital role of supporting the local heroes who are committed to safeguarding the safety of the community. In response to the essential needs of Marine Rescue Ballina, particularly in boosting their operational efficiency, Ballina RSL contributed a $35,000 grant for the upgrade of the rescue vessel, BA 30, enhancing its durability and stability with uniquely foam-filled sponsons. This investment has an enormous positive impact on the safety and efficiency of Marine Rescue Ballina's operations, especially during complex rescue missions and interactions with other boats. By improving the BA 30's operational capabilities, the Club has helped foster a community that is more resilient and prepared to face emergencies and natural disasters.

Bankstown Sports Club
Forbes Flood Relief - Bankstown Helps Rebuild
Bankstown Sports Club has had a great partnership with Forbes Jockey Club for the last 30 years, so when Forbes was declared a natural disaster zone in 2016 after the largest flood in 50 years, Bankstown Sports was able to provide an immediate $10,000 donation to the local SES, to purchase a sandbagging machine and assist with recovery efforts. In November 2022, the town was inundated by devastating floods again. Bankstown Sports reached out to the Jockey Club’s CEO and it was determined financial assistance was the most practical form of assistance. The Club also contributed $100,000 to GIVIT, an online platform which works directly with registered charities, assisting with disaster appeals, to determine what support they need and how best to get that support to them, without overloading evacuation centres and local depots with unwanted items.

Bathurst RSL
Hay Now
When fire devastated properties in the Hill End area, leaving farmers without feed for their stock, Bathurst RSL was able to act quickly to provide some immediate relief to the looming crisis. The combination of lightning strikes, 55km winds and temperatures reaching the mid-thirties caused unimaginable destruction, resulting in fires burning through more than 18,000 hectares, destroying six homes and hundreds of sheep. Within 48 hours, Bathurst RSL had pledged and paid $10,000 to purchase much needed stock feed to get the farmers through the immediate crisis. Upon realising government funding had not yet been released to pay for the delivery of the feed, Bathurst RSL almost doubled their pledge to cover the cost of transport, ensuring three semi-trailer loads of feed could be delivered within days.

Mounties Care CareFlight – How It Saved Albie
Mounties Group’s health division, Mounties Care, has entered the fourth year of its five-year partnership with CareFlight, as the naming rights sponsor of the CareFlight Rapid Response Helicopter. The Club's contribution helped support CareFlight as it launched the brand-new Airbus H145, part of the next generation of NSW's Aeromedical Helicopters in July 2021. The new helicopter is one of the most advanced aeromedical helicopters in Australia, saving lives in Greater Sydney, the Central Coast and Blue Mountains. This partnership has proven to be a lifeline for countless individuals in need, including five-year-old Albie Eagles, who choked while eating dinner. After an ambulance arrived, CareFlight was called as Albie started having seizures with the obstruction making its way to his lungs. Thankfully, after some time in an induced coma in hospital, Albie made a full recovery.
